„Innovation“ is one of the most important elements of our company. We have invested a lot of time and money in our department „Research and Development“ over the last few years in order to meet the future and superior requirements made on grinding wheels. 

Some of our innovative projects concentrate on the technology sector, some on basic developments for totally new abrasives. We are cooperating with research institutes at home and abroad in order to realise our endeavours on this sector efficiently which results in a lot of given patents.

Besides all the possibilities resulting out of this cooperation with research institutes abroad, we have optimized our personnel and technical resources in Villach. Our research & development department has a very modern equipment at it’s disposal, including instruments for optical, electron-optical, physical and chemical analysis.

One of our most important project at the moment is a development project in cooperation with the Austrian Industrial Research Promotion Fund (FFF) for the Industry. Already in the second year of this project organic bound polishing wheels are manufactured and commercialized.

Another successful project was the development of a 2000mm steel-compound cut-off disc in cooperation with Böhler Edelstahl. This new innovation for cut-off discs up to diameter 2000mm has a steel core which may be recycled. Such a type of wheel presents a totally new technology with major cost savings.
